Direction le Portugal !

Comme à l’habitude, nous partons de nuit, tôt le matin, vers 5h30. Le vent souffle et la mer est houleuse, les vagues se sont formées depuis plusieurs jours au large.

 

Nous passons la dernière bouée du chenal quand le soleil vient juste de se lever.

Il y a du vent, Marc à la barre enchaine les surfs à 8 noeuds quand je poursuis ma nuit au chaud à l’intérieur.

Vers 10h, nous avons déjà bien avancé et le vent tombe doucement.

Une fois de plus, nous alternons voile et moteur pour rejoindre la marina au nord de Porto.

Nous profitons du beau temps et le coucher de soleil fut fort sympathique au large.

Nous arrivons à la marina vers 21h.

Le lendemain, nous visitons Porto.

Le Portugal est chaleureux malgré le temps peu clément. Nous visitons également une cave de Porto.

La ville est pentue et s’étend de part et d’autre de la rivière « Le Douro ». Il y a de jolis ponts.

A 2h en avion de Paris, c’est une bonne destination pour un weekend.

Let’s go to Portugal !

As usual, we left at night, early in the morning, it was about 5.30am. The wind is blowing and the sea is rough, waves have been shaping for few days off the coast.

 

We let the last buoy of the channel on the left side when it is sunrise.

There is wind, Marc is driving and we are sailing at 8 knots while I’m ending my night inside the boat.

At 10am, we already did a couple of miles and the wind decreases slowly.

One more time, we are sailing then starting the engine, sailing again … to reach the next marina in Porto.

We are enjoying the nice weather and the sunset is very beautiful off the coast.

We reach the marina at 9pm.

The next day, we are visiting Porto.

Portugal is a warm place even if the weather is not so good. We also visited a Porto cellar.

The city is built on the hills on each side of the « Douro » river. There are impressive bridges.

2h flight from Paris, it is a nice destination for a weekend.
